I have deposits assigned to my income buckets, why can't I allocate that money?
There are two possible problems:
- The deposit transactions are pending, or
- They occur before your cash flow start date.
In the first case, all you have to do is change the transaction status from "Pending" to "Open" ("Cleared" and "Reconciled" will work as well). MoneyWell includes the current month's pending transactions in the bucket totals to allow you to forecast income and expenses but won't let you allocate this money until you say it has really been deposited.
In the second case, you just need to set up your starting cash flow amount. You can accomplish this with the steps in the "How do I tell MoneyWell how much money I have to spend at the start?" FAQ.
