Common Direct Connect Error Codes

Here are some common direct connect download error codes:

  • 2000 General Error - Usually means that you need to sign up for direct connect service
  • 2001 Invalid account error
  • 2002 General account error
  • 2003 Account not found error
  • 2004 Account closed error
  • 2005 Account not authorized

The above errors typically mean your account number is wrong on your account or you don't have the account set up for direct connect services. Click on the account in the Account List and check the settings in the Account Detail to the right.

  • 15500 Sign-on invalid - Usually means that you need to sign up for direct connect service
  • 15501 Customer account already in use - Rare but could mean two sessions are active at once
  • 15502 User account locked out - Typically this means you have tried too many times with the wrong password
  • 15503 Could not change user password
  • 15508 User not authorized for this access
  • 15510 Client UID needs to be registered
  • 15511 User contact required
  • 15512 Authorization token required
  • 15513 Authorization token invalid

The above errors typically mean that you need to contact your financial institution and have them check your account for valid direct connect access. Always say you are trying to use direct connect with Quicken for the Mac because mentioning MoneyWell will only confuse them.
